Mountain Biking for beginners
Mountain biking technique - Rock Gardens
There are some techniques that are really helpful for getting through Rock Gardens - a large grouping of foot high to fist sized rocks that can span from a few feet to hundreds of feet. They can be challenging to get through, especially for beginners.
Stand up - stand up on your bike to gain more balance and be better able to maneuver your mountain bike at slow speeds.
Level pedals - this keeps your pedals from striking the rocks you going through.
Slow down - go through the rock gardens slowly if you don't have much experience.
Lean back - shift your weight farther back on your mountain bike to keep you from pitching over the handlebars if you hit a large object.
